How do I adjust the balance in my cash drawer / do a cash drop?

In POS you can use Adjust Balance to add or subtract cash from a drawer.

Take this online training course to learn how to open, close, customize shifts and finalize drawers in Meadow

Drawers can be adjusted either directly at POS or via Admin.

To adjust a drawer's balance at POS, open the Menu then select:

  • Shift Sales

  • Adjust Balance

  • Enter a manager's PIN

  • Enter amount to be added or subtracted

  • Select Add or Subtract

You can use subtract balance when refunding cash to a customer or when a full drawer is emptied.

  • Shift Sales

  • Adjust Balance

  • Add/Subtract Balance

Adjust drawer balance in Admin

You can also adjust the balance of a drawer directly in Admin, even if it's closed.

  • Find the drawer you want to adjust in the Drawers list in Admin

  • Click the button with three dots in the top right corner and select "Adjust Drawer."

  • Enter the value and select the type (cash/other) and action (add/subtract).

  • This will add/subtract from the expected drawer total value for that payment type.
