If you accidentally receive a Metrc package to the wrong line item/product in a Meadow Purchase Order, you should first try to delete the reception. You can click on the red (x) button next to that line item to undo the reception.
Wrong product, correct package:
Find the purchase order here.
Make sure the purchase order is "open"
Navigate to the "receptions" tab.
Find the mistake, and click the red (x) button. This breaks the relationship between the package and the product so you can reassign it.
If you receive an error message, make sure the purchase order is open.
If you still receive an error message, you need to void the package. Skip the following steps and review the void package instructions.
Navigate back to the order details page. Click the red (x) next to the product name.
In the "Product / Product Options" text entry box, select the correct product.
Enter the "amount" and "update purchase order"
Navigate back to the "receptions" tab and receive the package.
Correct product, wrong package: Follow steps 1-4 above, but once you cancel the reception, select the correct package from the drop down list.
If you tried to cancel the reception in step 4 and you received an error message that "there have been inventory transactions," you will need to void the package.
Void a package if you have made a package reception error:
Find the package in Meadow and click the "View" button
Click the three dots in the top right corner and select "Void Package."
3. Enter the reason for voiding the package and set recreate as ready to Yes if you would like to receive the package under a different product in Meadow. Set to No if you would like the package to be gone from Meadow.
4. If the package is recreated in Meadow, it will be put in the "Ready" state and the package quantity will be updated to match Metrc. You can now receive the package again using a purchase order, this time to the correct product.
Please note:
Packages can't be voided if they are on an order that hasn't been reported to Metrc or an open PO. If you see such a warning, remove the package from any unreported order or close any open PO first, then void the package.
Voiding a package can't be undone. If you select "No" for recreate as ready, the package will disappear from Meadow.
