This training covers how to use Meadow's POS app to ring up sales in a retail environment. This training should take 8-10 minutes to complete.
Point of Sale allows you to easily complete transactions.
Attach Customers to an order at the top right. You can view/edit a customer's documents, see their notes, groups and past orders. You can also choose not to add a customer and process an Anonymous Order. Add a customers to an order one of three ways:
From Queue (entered from Customers Intake in reverse order, so the most recent customer is #1)
By using Search (for name or email)
Scan their driver's license if you have a Socket scanner attached.
Pickup orders can be processed using the ORDERS button in the top right corner
You can display either new or fulfilled pickup orders here.
Adding products to an order
Search by product name or brand at the top of the menu
Filter products by category on the left of the menu
Click the picture of the product the customer would like to buy
Select the size/option (if any) and quantity (1, 2, etc.) desired.
Checkout is available as soon as a product is added to the order
Clear an order by touching the red (x) at the top of the order bar on the right
Remove Product/Update Quantities by touching the product name in the order bar
Discounts can be used in a few different ways
Customer Groups (select a discount for a group such as veterans or seniors. These are created in Admin)
Custom (by % or $ off of that order)
Tax Exempt (for customers with government-issued MMIC)
Select the Payment Type (for example Cash or Card)
If you select Cash, choose the amount of cash the customer gives you. Correct change (if any) will be calculated and displayed on the screen. Select “Finalize Order” when the transaction is done.
Meadow does not process card payments (yet!) but you can record transactions as card sales for accurate reporting and insights.
After you select Finalize Order, you can ask your customer if they would like a receipt or not.
