Customise how Med App notifies you about forms

Notification preferences allow you to specify how you would like to receive form notifications:

  • Push (for users that have the Med App native app on their device)

  • Email

  • SMS

When do you receive form notifications?

  • When a form is assigned to you

  • When you are the form owner and a due date or close date notification is triggered

  • When a reminder is triggered for an incomplete form

Updating Form Notification Preferences in Med App

You can access notification preferences on Med App by navigating to More > Settings > Notification Preferences. Once on this screen you can update your notifications for forms to push, sms or email.

You can also toggle off section reminders and set the time you want to receive reminders

Web notification preferences

If you have never registered with Med App but have been assigned a form, we provide the option to change notification preferences for future forms assigned to you and also customise your section reminder preferences.

Administrators - viewing reminders set for a user

On the user profile on the dashboard, administrators can view the form notification preferences for that user, including:

  • The type of notification

  • If reminders are toggled on

  • The specified time the user will receive the reminder

Default notification settings:

Our system creates sensible defaults for form notifications based on the way you have interacted with Med App. These defaults are:

  1. Invited to a Med App hospital but have not registered: The default notification preference will be SMS until you register, which will then default to push notification when registered (if you enable push notifications).

  2. Existing registered users: if you have push notifications turned on, your form notifications will be set to push. If push notifications are turned off, your form notification will be sent to SMS.

  3. Never registered but have been assigned a form by email: When assigned a form by email and you have not previously been registered, your preference will be set to email.

  4. Never registered but have been assigned a form by mobile number: When assigned a form by mobile number and you have not previously registered, will set your preference to SMS.
