The vast majority of pet parents will never need to adjust, toggle, or access internal hardware settings manually. The Luma automatically syncs its frequency parameters via the MedcoVet application in the background.
The Golden Rule
Only attempt manual Bluetooth configuration if you have been given explicit, step-by-step instructions to do so by a MedcoVet technician or your clinician. Please do not adjust these settings independently.
What This Menu Is Used For
This advanced engineering portal is only accessed during unique troubleshooting scenarios. It allows support agents to help you manually review or adjust hardware parameters such as:
Red light power levels
Infrared power output intensity
Audible signaling guide beeps
The Risk of Manual Changes
Modifying these developer settings independently without direct, live supervision from our team can lower the therapeutic efficacy of your pet's treatments or cause the hardware components to unsafely overheat. If an agent or clinician directs you to perform this step, they will guide you through the exact screen locations directly over chat.
How to configure the Luma device via Bluetooth (Beep control, Red Power, IR Power).
Download the MedcoVet app for iOS. Use this link (https://link.medcovet.com/ios) or just type “MedcoVet” in the AppStore search.
Sign into the app. Use your phone number to receive the authorization code. If you having issues signing in - please contact our support team.
Go to the "Settings" tab, scroll down to the very bottom, and click the "Configure Luma Device" button.
If there is no such button - please contact our support team and ask them to turn this feature on for you.
The app will ask you to provide Bluetooth permission - please grant it, otherwise, you can't calibrate Luma.
Click "Scan for Devices" and turn on the Luma you want to calibrate.
When you see the name of the device tap on it once so the check mark appears and click "Connect to Luma Device"
Here you will see the list of device properties. Two things at the very bottom-most useful for you:
Two sliders - one configures red power and another one infrared. If you turn on the light on Luma and drag the red slider you'll see the effect immediately.
Buzzer switch - it allows you to turn on/off the sound of the buttons on the Luma device. IMPORTANT: this feature is only available starting from the 1.92 version of the Luma device firmware. If you don’t have this option - please check the firmware version at the very top of the page. If it’s lower - then unfortunately you can’t turn off the Luma device sound.
