Hosting your videos with an external video platform is a great way to ensure a quality viewing experience for your users and to protect your video content from being downloaded.
In this article, we'll look specifically at using Tella to embed your videos.
There are two ways to embed your video content from Tella into your MV account:
Use the video embed tool that's provided in each lesson.
βEmbed the video directly in your text editor area using the 'insert/edit media' option.
Option 1: Use the provided video embed tool that's provided in each lesson.
Click into the lesson you wish to edit, and select "Other" from the dropdown menu under Video Type:
In the Video Link section that appears below, you'll need to copy your Tella video's embed code as opposed to the video link. On your Tella Dashboard, go to "My videos."
Open the video you want to add, and click the Share icon in the top right corner.
In the pop-up screen that appears, click "Embed".
For Tella videos in MemberVault, you'll want to use the Responsive code -- the Fixed code doesn't always display your video well in a mobile view. Make sure to click "Responsive" before copying your code.
Configure your embed settings how you'd like (I usually turn off the "record your own" and "link to video on Tella"). Then click "copy code."
Paste your embed code into the Video Link section in your MemberVault lesson. Your Tella video should pop up in the Video Preview box.
Option 2: Embed the Tella video directly in your text editor area using the 'insert/edit media' option.
In the Text Editor, select Insert Media.
In the pop up box that appears, click "Embed".
Use the same steps in Option 1 to locate and copy the embed code from Tella.
Copy and paste your embed code into the pop-up box in MemberVault, click Save, and you're all set!
