Hosting your videos with an external video platform is a great way to ensure a quality viewing experience for your users and to protect your video content from being downloaded.
In this article, we'll look specifically at using Loom to embed your videos.
There are two ways to embed your video content from Loom into your MV account:
Use the video embed tool that's provided in each lesson.
βEmbed the video directly in your text editor area using the 'insert/edit media' option.
Option 1: Use the provided video embed tool that's provided in each lesson.
Click into the lesson you wish to edit, and select "Other" from the dropdown menu under Video Type:
In the Video Link section that appears below, you'll need to copy your Loom video's embed code as opposed to the video link. Go to your Loom library and click into the video you want to add.
Click "Share" to open the share pop-up window.
Click "Embed" in the top menu of the pop-up screen. Then click the button to copy the embed code. Unlike Vimeo, with Loom you can use the Responsive size code without issue in your MemberVault account -- this will also get you a better display in a mobile view.
Paste your embed code into the Video Link section in your MemberVault lesson. Your Loom video should pop up in the Video Preview box.
Option 2: Embed the Loom video directly in your text editor area using the 'insert/edit media' option.
In the Text Editor, select Insert Media.
In the pop up box that appears, click "Embed".
Use the same steps in Option 1 to locate and copy the embed code from Loom.
Copy and paste your embed code into the pop-up box in MemberVault, click Save, and you're all set!
