Mentionlytics Social Media Publisher allows you to create social media posts and either publish them immediately, save them as drafts, or schedule them for later.
This allows you to prepare your content in advance and manage your social media publishing directly from Mentionlytics.
Before you start: you need at least one social profile added and authorized in your account. See How to Add Social Profiles.
Create a New Post
Go to Publisher and click Create new post.
The post creation window will open.
1. Select Your Social Profiles
Under Post to, open the dropdown menu and select the social profile or profiles where you want your post to be published.
You can select as many profiles as you want, so you can create one post and publish it to all of them at once.
Only social profiles that have been added and authorized to your Mentionlytics account (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X (Twitter), LinkedIn) will be available here.
If the profile you need does not appear, you can add additional social profiles from the Account Configuration page.
If a profile appears greyed out with a warning icon (⚠), it needs to be reauthorized.
. Go to Settings → Account Configuration and click Authorize next to it.
2. Write Your Post
Under Post what, enter the content you want to publish.
Write your caption, message, or other post content in the provided text box.
You can also include emojis in your content. Depending on your operating system, you can open your device's emoji selector using:
Windows: Win + .
macOS:Cmd + Ctrl + Space
As you write, a live preview of your post appears on the right. If you selected more than one profile, you’ll see a separate preview for each network, so you can check how the post will look on each one. The preview is a guide only, and the published post may look slightly different.
Below the text box, remaining characters and remaining images show how much space you have left on each selected network.
3. Upload an Image
To include visual content with your post, click Upload Image and select the image you want to attach.
The image appears as a thumbnail below the button and in the post preview.
Once your content and media are ready, you can decide whether you want to publish the post immediately, schedule it for later, or keep it as a draft.
4. Publish Now
If you want your content to go live immediately, click Publish Now.
The post will be sent to the selected social profile or profiles for publishing.
Published posts appear on the social media calendar in green.
5. Schedule Your Post
If you want the post to be published later, click Schedule.
A date picker opens. Choose the date, set the hour and minute using the arrows, and click Set. To close the picker without scheduling, click Cancel.
The scheduled post will then appear in your social media calendar in yellow, allowing you to easily keep track of your upcoming content.
6. Save a Draft
If your post isn't ready to be published or scheduled yet, click Save Draft.
This allows you to keep the post in Publisher and return to it later before deciding when to publish it. Drafts appear on the social media calendar in grey.
Edit or Delete a Post
To edit a post, click it on the social media calendar to open it in the post editor. Make your changes, then click Schedule, Save Draft or Publish Now.
If you no longer need the post, click Delete Post to remove it.
You can also use Reset while editing to reset the changes made in the post editor.
