If you want Paige to automatically post your Google Business posts on Facebook, you'll need to connect your Facebook Business Page to Paige. This guide will walk you through the entire process in simple, step-by-step instructions to make sure everything works smoothly.

Important Note:
You must have Full Access Admin rights to the Facebook Business Page you want to connect to Paige. This means just having access in the Facebook Business Manager (or being assigned some lower-level roles like Editor or Moderator) is not enough. Make sure you are a Full Admin on the Page before continuing!

Step-by-Step Instructions to Connect Facebook to Paige

1. Log In to Paige

Start by logging into your Paige account. Once you're logged in:

  1. Navigate to the Automations tab: In the main navigation menu, look for and click on "Automations."

  2. Click on Automate Posts: Under Automations, you'll see an option labeled "Automate Posts." Click on this to start setting up the automated Facebook connection.

  3. Look for the Facebook Question: On the Automate Posts page, you'll be asked if you want to publish your Google Business posts on Facebook as well.

  4. Click Yes: If you're ready to proceed, click “Yes” when asked if you’d like to post to Facebook.

2. Connect Your Facebook Account

This step will require you to go through Facebook’s connection process. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Click "Connect Facebook Account": After selecting "Yes," a button will appear prompting you to connect your Facebook account. Click on it, and a Facebook login window will open.

  2. Log In to Facebook: If you're not already logged into Facebook, you'll be asked to log in. Make sure you log in using the account that has Full Admin access to your Facebook Business Page.

    • If you accidentally log in with a personal account or an account without the right permissions, the connection will not work. Double-check that you’re using the right Facebook login.

3. Grant Permissions in Facebook

Facebook will ask for your permission to allow Paige to manage your Business Page. You need to approve these requests to let Paige automate posts to your Facebook Business Page. Here’s what to do:

  1. Choose Your Facebook Business Page: Once you're logged in, Facebook will show a list of pages you have access to. Make sure you select the correct Facebook Business Page. Only the Pages where you have Full Admin access will appear.

  2. Grant All Permissions: Facebook will ask for various permissions to allow Paige to manage posts, read data, and more. It's important that you approve all the permission requests Paige needs to post on your behalf.

    • Common mistake: If you deny some permissions, you might run into issues where Paige can’t post, or the connection fails. Make sure to grant every permission when prompted.

  3. Click Done: After selecting the right Page and granting permissions, click "Done" to finish the Facebook side of the connection process.

4. Confirm Connection in Paige

Once you’ve successfully gone through the Facebook wizard, you’ll be redirected back to Paige. Here, Paige will confirm that your Facebook Business Page has been connected.

  1. Check the Confirmation: Make sure Paige shows a confirmation message that your Facebook account is now connected. If you don’t see a confirmation, double-check that you followed the previous steps correctly. You'll know it worked if your Facebook Business Page appears in a dropdown under the "Yes" option.

  2. Check Your Facebook Business Page: Once Paige publishes your next Google Business Post, check your Facebook Business Page to see if it appeared there as well.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  1. Not Seeing the Correct Facebook Business Page:

    • This usually happens because your Facebook account doesn’t have Full Admin access. Double-check your Facebook settings to make sure you’re listed as an Admin on the Page.

    • If you’re only listed in Facebook Business Manager but not a Full Admin on the Page, you need to ask the Page owner to promote your role to Full Admin.

  2. The Facebook Login Isn’t Working:

    • If the login window doesn't pop up, make sure you don’t have any pop-up blockers enabled in your browser.

    • Try logging out of Facebook and logging back in again with the right credentials.

  3. Connection Fails After Logging Into Facebook:

    • If the connection fails after you log in and grant permissions, make sure you didn’t skip any permissions. Denying even one permission can cause the connection to fail.

  4. Personal Facebook Page Connected Instead of Business Page:

    • This can happen if you didn’t select your Business Page during the setup. Disconnect the personal account and restart the connection process, ensuring you select the correct Page.
