What "Setup Score" Means in Paige

Learn what your Setup Score means in Paige, where to find it, and how to improve your score by matching your setup settings to Paige’s recommended best practices.

Written by Justin Silverman

Your Setup Score shows how well your business or client setup matches Paige’s recommended best practices.

Paige reviews the settings you selected when you set up a business or client. Then, Paige gives you a score based on how closely those settings match the recommendations we suggest for getting the best rankings as quickly as possible.

You should aim for a 100% optimization score whenever possible.

What is "Setup Score"?

Your Setup Score is a percentage that shows how optimized your Paige setup is.

Paige looks at the setup choices you made, such as your automation settings and other business configuration options. It then compares your selections to Paige’s recommended settings. Those recommended settings are based on our best practices for helping businesses improve rankings as quickly and effectively as possible. Note, the Setup Score focuses on the settings you selected while onboarding to Paige, whereas the Optimization Score shows how optimized the Google Business Profile is.

Why Setup Score matters

Your Setup Score helps you quickly understand whether your business or client is set up in the best way possible inside Paige. A higher score means your setup is more closely aligned with Paige’s recommendations. These recommendations are designed to help you get better ranking results as quickly as possible. A lower score does not mean something is broken. It simply means there are settings Paige recommends changing to improve optimization.

Where to find your Setup Score

To view your Setup Score:

  1. Log in to Paige.

  2. Click Businesses in the left-side menu.

  3. Find the business or client you want to review.

  4. Click View Details for that business.

  5. Click Review Setup.

You will then be brought to a setup review screen.

What you will see on the Review Setup screen

On the Review Setup screen, Paige shows you the settings for that business or client. You will see:

  1. Each setting inside Paige.

  2. The option you selected during setup.

  3. A blue box showing the recommended option when a change is suggested.

This makes it easy to compare your current setup with Paige’s best-practice recommendation.

How to improve your Setup Score

For most suggestions, you can update the setting directly from the Setup Score screen. To make a recommended change:

  1. Go to the Review Setup screen.

  2. Find a setting where Paige recommends a different option.

  3. Look for the suggested setting shown in the blue box.

  4. Click the blue box.

  5. Paige will apply that suggested setting.

After updating your settings, your Setup Score should improve based on the changes you made.

What happens if an automation category is disabled?

If you disabled an entire automation category, Paige will give that category a 0% score. This is because Paige cannot optimize that category if the automation is turned off completely. To improve the score for that category, you will need to enable the automation category and follow Paige’s recommended settings.

Should I always aim for 100%?

Yes. In most cases, you should aim for a 100% Setup Score. A 100% score means your setup matches Paige’s recommended best practices as closely as possible. This gives Paige the best chance to help the business or client get ranking improvements quickly. There may be rare situations where you intentionally choose a different setting for a specific reason. However, if you are unsure, we recommend following Paige’s suggested settings.
