Important note about templates
Templates are saved exactly as the business is set up at the time you create the template. If you change that business later, those changes will not update the template or any businesses you already onboarded with it. Before saving a template, make sure the business is set up the way you want future businesses to be set up. We recommend enabling as many features as possible before saving.
How to save a template
Set up a business in Paige the way you want future businesses to be set up.
Go to Businesses.
Find the business you want to use as your template.
Click View Details.
Click Review Setup.
Review the selected settings, enabled features, recommendations, and warnings.
Make any needed changes before saving.
Click Save as Template at the top of the page.
Give the template a name you will recognize later.
Your template is now ready to use.
How to use a template for a new business
The next time you onboard a business, Paige will ask whether you want to use a template right after you add the new business to your subscription.
Select the template you want to use.
Preview it to make sure it is the right one.
Continue onboarding the business.
Customize the details for the new business.
Click Save.
Paige will then automatically apply the template settings and enable the automations from the saved setup.
Details you may need to customize during the template onboarding
When using a template, Paige will ask you to confirm or update important business-specific details, including:
Target keywords
Target cities
Audit area
Audit size
Image upload link password
Post CTAs (if applicable)
Email addresses for alerts/approvals
Make sure to replace any email addresses from the template client with the new client’s email addresses.
If you do not replace an email address that is required for a feature, Paige may show a warning letting you know that feature needs to be manually enabled or completed for the new client. Please make note of that and complete it ASAP.
After onboarding
Template onboarding follows the saved template setup exactly. If there are any settings you do not want to use for the new business, you will need to change them manually after onboarding is complete.
