Basic Navigation Controls
You can quickly navigate around in a drawing using the mouse wheel and the mouse wheel button. By scrolling the mouse wheel up, you can zoom in on the drawing. By scrolling the mouse wheel down, you can zoom out in the drawing. By holding down the mouse wheel button, you can PAN through the drawing, moving it in any direction. Holding down the SHIFT key while pressing down on the mouse wheel button will allow you to rotate the drawing in 3D.
AutoCAD drawings are 3-dimensional, which means you can view the different planes. Front, back, left, right, top, and bottom are all 2D views. Southwest, southeast, northwest, and northeast are all 3D isometric views. Microvellum has incorporated some quick-key commands to change the views quickly.
Using the View Cube in the top right corner of the drawing area will also allow you to change the views within the drawing.
