Model Space is where you will create your drawings. You interact with the Model Space by selecting objects or points with the crosshairs. The crosshairs will automatically activate anytime you are inside the Model Space. There are four types of crosshairs you will frequently use with Toolbox. First is the standard crosshairs, as shown below. This type is visible when no commands are active. Second is the Active Command Crosshairs. This type is visible when a selection command is active. The third is the Floating Command-Line. This type is visible when a command is active that requires keyboard input to continue. You can input values without selecting the docked command line. Fourth is an Active Draw Command Crosshairs. This type is visible when a draw command (such as the Polyline Command) is active and waiting for you to select a point on the screen.
