Deutsche Post - contactName: may not be empty

This error (An Error Occurred when attempting to: Creating Manifest Error: {"messages": ["contactName: may not be empty. Example: 'paperwork': {'contactName': 'Max Mustermann'}"]}) from Deutsche Post typically occurs due to one of the following reasons:

  1. The Deutsche Post courier account is not filtered by a specific warehouse (it is set to All).

  2. The warehouse associated with the courier account is missing a Contact Name.

To resolve this issue, please review the steps below:

Step 1: Ensure the courier account is filtered by a specific warehouse

  1. Click Connect then Courier Integrations.

  2. Click Deutsche Post then Edit.

  3. Set the Warehouse to a specific one (not All) and click Save.

Step 2: Ensure the warehouse has a contact name

  1. Click Warehouse then Manage Warehouse.

  2. Click Edit on the relevant warehouse.

  3. Enter a value in the Contact Name field (e.g., “Max Mustermann”).

  4. Click Save.
