Activity Timeline Reporting

The Activity Timeline removes guesswork by showing marketers how historic changes in audience, creative, and budget impact daily performance.

With greater insights and accountability, the Activity Timeline enables more effective optimizations and investment decisions, helping marketers maximize the value of their MNTN campaigns and advertise with confidence.

  • The Activity Timeline is overlaid on the Campaign and Creative Reports

  • Activity markers overlaid on time-based graphs will highlight dates campaign changes were made, which include:

    • Audience Changes, Budget Changes, Creative Changes, and Goal Changes

  • Clicking on the activity marker will open a drawer containing the activity log

    • Each activity will contain the action that occurred, the campaign it occurred on, the user that made the change, and the timestamp.

MNTN Version 6.7.7

🚀 Feature Releases

Configurable Executive Ads

Executive Ads let your teammates see your TV commercials while streaming their favorite shows at home. Simply opt a user in, and they’ll be eligible to see your ad on MNTN’s premium networks. MNTN won’t include actions taken after your teammates view Executive Ads, such as site visits or conversions, in performance reports.

This new dashboard provides flexibility and more percise management of your executive ads feature. Account Admins can enroll teammates in Executive Ads through this new dashbord, which supports adding a single new user or uploading a bulk email list. Account admins can manage user access, deactivate users from receiving executive ads, or turn executive ads off on the account level.

  • There are three ways a user can be opted into receiving Executive Ads:

    1. Logging into your MNTN account

    2. Clicking on a link sent from your MNTN account, such as a report or creative

    3. Being invited by their admin to receive Executive Ads and accepting the invitation at home

      1. Users that currently have Executive Ads access, or gain access via methods #1 and #2 will not be added to this list. Only users added directly into the dashboard will be manageable.

See the full update in our MNTN Executive Ads Feature Guide.

Self-Service Pixel UI

The pixel UI has been upgraded to better guide you through your self-service pixel installation process, complete with auto recommendations, linked how-to guides, and pixel reset options.

Auto Recommendation: You will be recommended a pixel installation method based on the tag manager found on your site. The options include:

  • Shopify

  • Google Tag Manager

  • Manual Installation

Opt Out: You can choose “I’d rather run my campaigns without performance tracking” to launch your campaigns without pixels. This is not a recommneded option, as you will lose all performance tracking and optimization elligiblity, and be unable to run CTV Retargeting Ads.

See the full update in our Installing the MNTN Pixel Guide.

  • There is now a single “Billing Details” subsection in the “My Account” dashboard. This subsection has 3 tabs

    1. Billing Info

    2. Billing History

  • When attempting to update “user” from the user management modal, anyone who is not that user being updated will receive an error .

  • Account Admin is not able to access or update their user permissions

  • When editing a report, portaling gets stuck on a single metric. However, after saving changes and going live on the report restores functionality.

MNTN Matched Audience Management Enhancements

  • A new error icon and message has been added to the audience library for audiences that contain legacy MNTN Matched segments.

    • “This audience is an outdated Legacy MNTN Matched Audience”

  • A new error message has been added to the preview modal of audiences that contain legacy MNTN Matched segments.

  • Duplicate button removed from legacy MNTN Matched audiences

CRM Uploads: Data Type Lock

  • When uploading your CRM file, you must select the correct “data type” i.e Email or IP Address before uploading the file. Previously you were able to switch the “data type” post upload with no errors or warnings, which has now been blocked.

CRM Uploads: Warning Message on lists below 1,000 Records

  • A yellow warning message will say “We recommend all CRM lists contain at least 1000 emails. Lists with fewer than 1000 emails have a higher probability of yielding low to no matches.”

  • Customers are still able to upload lists smaller than our recommendations, but the error messaging will warn them of the risk of low to no matches

Audience Composition: Audiences smaller than 1000 Households will display <1000

  • Audiences must contain at least 1,000 households. Audiences that have below 1,000 households will display <1,000 instead of the exact number. The save button will also be disabled.

MNTN Version 6.7.3

🚀 Feature Releases

Create Multiple Tabs in your Reporting Charts

Want to be able to see a quick snapshot of performance across different data summaries? You can now add tabs to chart widgets in your custom reports to easily toggle between different pivots like Time Ranges, Creative Names, and Campaigns.

Simply edit your custom report, add in a new chart, and select the pivots you want to "summarize by." For more information, check out our Custom Reporting Help Center Article

⚡️ Enhancements

Creative Rejection Re-Request Button

  • For content-related creative rejections, a “Request Re-Review” button has been added to the creative page, automatically opening up an intercom ticket internally with the request. This operates the same way as the button in the notification tab, but if that notification is dismissed, the button will also be removed from the creative page.

Radius Targeting Requirement Updates

  • Radius Targeting now supports multiple-column file uploads. All uploads moving forward will need to follow 4 column requirements.

    • Column 1: Number and street name

    • Column 2: City Name

    • Column 3: 2 Letter State Abbreviation

    • Column 4: 5-digit Zip code

  • Messaging on the upload modal will be updated to read: “Ensure your file has four columns: street address (e.g., 123 Main St), city (eg., Los Angeles), state abbreviation (e.g. CA), and 5-digit postal code (e.g., 90210). No extra columns or headers are allowed.

Auto-Save on Account Level TV-Network Blocking

  • TV Network blocks are autosaved once toggled, allowing selections to be sustained when searching through different networks without manually hitting the “save” button

Billing Invoice Address Required Fields

  • Once one field is input within the invoice address section, all fields will become required to prevent partial addresses.

Incrementality Overlay for First Touch Reporting Customers

  • Exciting things are happening in the world of Incrementality for our customers on Frist Touch reporting. We're working to bring you upgraded reporting that shows the true first-touch impact of your MNTN TV Campaigns. While work is being completed, we've added a new overlay on the report that acknowledges the upgrades happening to keep you in the loop.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where the size of some site visitor segments didn’t match the total audience size. These will now align when the site visitor composition is the same in both site visitor segments and the saved audience.

  • Within the Invoice Address section of the billing menu, the State/Province dropdown contained “no data.” This has been resolved, and you can now access all states/provinces from the dropdown list.

  • Updating a credit card after a failed payment could result in the system charging for the current invoice instead of the initial failed billing amount. We have resolved this by retrying the specific failed payment amount prior to running any new charges.

    • Users will now be notified directly in a pop-up notification about the incomplete steps related to pixel implementation and billing information before launching their first campaign. The message will have linkouts for each incomplete step

  • The “Share” “Download” and “Edit” icons have moved to the left header of each report, while the “Filter” Toggle has moved to the right to be in line with the drawer pop-out and date picker filters

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Insertion Orders: Billing Address is not displayed when a user previews an Insertion Order [I/O] and Downloads from the Preview.

  • Custom Reports: default reports do not appear in the template dropdown after rearranging the custom report.

  • Reporting Line Chart Dates: the dates in the reporting line charts are not in order when porting a metric
