  • We should always use User Licensing - this is where the PocketTouch licence is added to the TouchPoint licence.

  • If the TouchPoint is a rental licence then we can add PocketTouch rental licences via our ICRTouch Partner Portal.

  • If the TouchPoint licence has been purchased then we need to email support@icrtouch.com with the TouchPoint licence number and request x number of PocketTouch licences be added.

PocketTouch Setup:

  • Download the PocketTouch app from Google Play or the Apple app store

  • Install and run PocketTouch

  • Config - Config - 2552 OK - System Config

    • Device name - eg Handheld 1

    • Check Master - enter the IP address of the EPoS terminal that is the Check Master (this will need to be a fixed IP address)

    • Socket Password - this needs to match the EPoS Terminal

    • User Licensing - Yes

    • Demo Mode - No

  • If you want to allow staff to finalise transactions on the hand held then you will need to setup finalise keys for cash or cards

    • Config - Config - 2552 OK - Finalise Config

    • Config - Config - 2552 OK - Edit Menu - Final

PocketTouch on Dojo Setup:

  • Make sure PAC and PAT are turned OFF (You need to have integrated payments turned on to do this). The Dojo terminal talks directly to PocketTouch and NOT TouchPoint.

  • If running PocketTouch on a Dojo terminal you will need to configure a card payment option as follows:

  • PocketTouch > Config > Config > enter 2552 > Press OK:

  • Edit Finalise Config

    • Setup a key for Cards to Use Local EFT (if you change the CASH key to cards then you do not need to edit the menu in the laster step)

    • Set Allow Table Payments to YES

  • Edit Floorplan Config

    • AutoNewCheck Enabled - YES (only if you do NOT need a Table #)

  • Edit EFT Merchant Config

    • Enable gratuity? - Yes

  • Edit Menu

    • You need to assign the Local EFT finalise key to the Final menu

      • Tap Sub Menus

      • Tap the arrow right button (from middle row of buttons) to select the Final Menu

      • Scroll the Available Buttons list and tap the finalise key you want to allocate to the menu (it will be highlighted green once tapped)

      • Tap the Add button - the finalise key will now appear in the Final Menu section

      • Tap the finalise key and use the Up / Down buttons to set the position in the menu

      • Tap Save Changes & Exit

TouchPoint Settings for Dojo:

  • TouchPoint Programming > 3.PROGRAM > 2.System Programming > 10.System Configuration

    • Set Back Office TCP Socket Password to match PocketTouch

  • Configure the PocketTouch menu using External Product Groups

    • TouchPoint Programming > 3.PROGRAM > 1.PLU > 9.External Product Groups

    • Import the prouct groups for the PocketTouch menu
