How to Setup Online Discount Codes

Overview:

As standard the online ordering system comes with a simple discount code system that enables discount codes with the following attributes to be setup:

  • Discount Code Name

  • Discount Percentage

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Minimum Spend

If you have a TouchOffice Web+ subscription then you can setup Discount Vouchers and Gift Cards (£ discounts), which enable discounts to be restricted to specific groups of products and/or specific sites.

Setting Up Online Discount Codes in Tillconfig.net:

Navigate to TILLCONFIG.NET > TAKEAWAY > DISCOUNTS

  • Enter a name for the Discount Code - this is what the customere will enter at checkout online.

  • Enter the Discount Percentage value eg 10

  • Enter a Start Date - this is the date the code is active from

  • Enter the End Date - this is the date the code stops working

  • Enter a Minimum Spend - the discount will only be applied if the basket value meets or excceds this value eg £10

  • Click Save

Check that the Discount Box is set to Show in Tillconfig.net:

Navigate to TILLCONFIG.NET > SITE BRANDING

  • Make sure the option Discounts is set to Show.

  • If our system has multiple sites, you can use the Site drop down selector to set per site.

Test Your Discount Code:

Once setup make sure you go through the ordering process as a customer would and enter the Discount Code at checkout to make sure its working.

Discount Code Reporting:

Navigate to TOUCHOFFICE.NET > REPORTS > WEB SALES DISCOUNT CODE USAGE

The Web Sales Discount Code Usage report shows the following information:

  • Discount Code

  • Times Used

  • Total Discount Value

  • Avg Discount Per Sale

  • A total for each of the values above
