Cause:

The EPOS system may be configured to prevent you taking an end of day Z report if a clerk or table (check) is still active / open.

Solution:

If you see a pop up window with the message β€œActive Checks” this means that you have stored tables or checks that have not been cashed off.

  • Go to the table plan and see which tables are still active.

  • Select (open) the active table and then cash the table off.

  • Once all the tables have been chased off you should then be able to run your end of day Z report.

If you see a pop up window with the message β€œclerk name, Active” this means that you have one or more clerks that have a transaction stored against them and not cashed off.

  • Log on as the clerk listed in the pop up window

  • Cash off the transaction (it may be a zero balance transaction)

  • If multiple clerks have stored transactions then you will have to repeat this process

  • Once all the clerks have been cashed off you should then be able to run your end of day Z report

Tip:

If your see the message ",Active" that means that the clerk name is blank. In this scenario the easiest way to find the clerk number and secret number (PIN) is as follows:

  • Login to TouchOffice Web

  • On the Home dashboard

    • Set the date range to This Week

    • Scroll down to the CLERKS BREAKDOWN widget where you should be abe to see sales against a clerk with no name.

    • Make a note of the Clerk Number

  • Select the Clerks menu

    • Find the clerk number and make a note of the Secret Number - this is what you need to login
