The earn loyalty discounts or points the customer needs to be identified and associated with a transaction.
Customer Identification:
Within the ByRetail / ByTable online ordering My Account menu each customer has a unique Loyalty QR Code.
To earn and redeem points at the POS, the customers Loyalty QR Code must be scanned by a QR code reader attached to the POS terminal.
A manual customer search button can also be used to associate a customer with a POS transaction.
To earn and redeem points online, the customer must login when ordering and NOT order as a guest.
For security purposes, the Loyalty QR Code is dynamic and refreshes every 5 minutes to prevent spoofing. However, there is also an option to generate a 24 hour code.
