Customer sign up is done online via the ByRetail / ByTable online ordering system > My Account > Sign Up button.
The signup form captures the following information:
Email address
First Name
Last Name
Password
Opt in/out preference for promotional notifications
On sign up the customer will automatically receive a verification email and a link needs to be clicked to verify the account.
When a customer has successfully signed up, the customer details will be visible in TouchOffice Web via the Customers > List menu option.
The Start Date (date of sign up) will be visible along with their points balance
New customers are automatically assigned to Customer Group 1 so this needs to be configured as the default loyalty type.
Sign Up Configuration
The system has the following configuration options:
Automatically award a set number of loyalty points at sign up.
Disable customer self sign up.
In this scenario customer details would have to me manually added via TouchOffice Web.
