Loyalty - Customer Sign Up

  • Customer sign up is done online via the ByRetail / ByTable online ordering system > My Account > Sign Up button.

  • The signup form captures the following information:

    • Email address

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Password

    • Opt in/out preference for promotional notifications

  • On sign up the customer will automatically receive a verification email and a link needs to be clicked to verify the account.

  • When a customer has successfully signed up, the customer details will be visible in TouchOffice Web via the Customers > List menu option.

    • The Start Date (date of sign up) will be visible along with their points balance

  • New customers are automatically assigned to Customer Group 1 so this needs to be configured as the default loyalty type.

Sign Up Configuration

The system has the following configuration options:

  • Automatically award a set number of loyalty points at sign up.

  • Disable customer self sign up.

    • In this scenario customer details would have to me manually added via TouchOffice Web.
