Overview:
TouchPoint can be configured to record clerk time & attendance and calculate the hours worked & pay.
Pay rates per clerk per hour can be set based on a specific date range or time period. Multiple pay rates can be configured.
Clerks can clock in at the beginning of a shift and then clock out at the end of the shift.
Break Out / In buttons can be configured to record staff breaks within a shift.
The hours worked can be manually adjusted, if required, via TouchOffice Web.
A selection of time & attendance reports are available in TouchOffice Web.
Clock In:
A manual clock in button can be allocated to the screen.
To clock in the clerk would press the clock in button and then enter their clerk PIN code via the pop up numeric pad.
You can also enter the clerk PIN first and then press the clock in button.
The clock in process can also be configured as follows:
Prompt to clock in at sign on:
Allows the system to prompt for the clerk to clock-in if they are not already clocked in at the point the clerk signs on. The clerk can, however choose not to clock in at the prompt.
Compulsory clocked in:
Forces the clerk to clock-in, and will not allow them to start a sale until they have successfully clocked in.
Clock Out:
A manual clock out button can be allocated to the screen.
To clock out the clerk would press the clock out button and then enter their clerk PIN code via the pop up numeric pad.
You can also enter the clerk PIN first and then press the clock out button.
If the Clock In report is added to the end of day batch report sequence, any clerks that have not clocked out will be automatically clocked out when the end of day Z report is taken.
Break Out:
This button is used to record the start of a break during a shift (a clerk must already be clocked in).
To break out the clerk would press the break out button and then enter their clerk PIN code via the pop up numeric pad.
You can also enter the clerk PIN first and then press the break out button.
Break In:
This button is used to record the end of a break during a shift.
To break in the clerk would press the break in button and then enter their clerk PIN code via the pop up numeric pad.
You can also enter the clerk PIN first and then press the break in button.
Clerk Pay:
Multiple pay rates can be configured for each clerk as follows:
Pay rate - the pay rate per hour eg £10
From date - the date the pay rate starts from
Until date - the date the pay rate stops (this is optional)
Start hour - the hour (whole hours only) the pay rate starts from (this is optional)
End hour - the hour (whole hours only) the pay rate stops (this is optional)
If pay rates are configured, the TouchOffice Web reports will display the pay due as well as the hours worked.
Manually Adjusting Clock In Clock Out Times:
Clock In, Clock Out, Break In, Break Out times can be manually adjusted, if required, by running the Adjust Times report.
Run the adjust times report for the appropriate date range.
The adjust times report has a red edit button for each time & attendance event.
Click the red edit button.
Change the date or time as required.
You can also add a note to record why the adjustment was made.
Please note that you must wait untilcannot make an adjustent for an event on the day it occured - you need to wait until the next business day.
