TouchPoint has 6 different modes of operation:

  • Reg Mode (Sales Mode)

  • Refund Mode

  • Manager Functions

  • X Mode (Reports)

  • Z Mode (Reports)

  • Settings (Programming)

    • Program 1 (PLU)

    • Program 2 (System Programming)

    • Program 3 (Clerk)

    • Program 4 (Function Keys)

    • Program 5 (Customers)

The modes of operation can be restricted by clerk so that they only have access to specific modes of operation.

The Mode Operation Inhibited error message will appear when a clerk tries to access one of the modes of operation that they do not have permission for.

Resolution:

The clerk needs to be given the permission to allow the mode of operation that is generating the error message. This is done via:

TouchOffice > Clerks Programming > Clerk Details > Allowed Modes
