Wrong Mode - error message

An explanation of the ICRTouch TouchPoint error message and how to resolve it.

The Wrong Mode error message indicates that the clerk is trying to perform an operation eg a sale or a refund in the wrong mode.

Common examples of when the Wrong Mode error message would occur, include:

  • A clerk with a stored sales transaction tries to access Refund Mode.

  • A clerk who is part way though a refund in Refund Mode tries to access Sales Mode.

Resolution:

If the Wrong Mode error message occurs in Sales Mode:

  • Press the Home button to navigate to the Main Menu.

  • Press the Refund Mode button.

  • Sign on as a clerk.

  • Complete the refund process by cashing off the refund.

If the Wrong Mode error message occurs in Refund Mode:

  • Press the Home button to navigate to the Main Menu.

  • Press the Sales Mode button.

  • Sign on as a clerk.

  • Complete the sale by cashing off the transaction.
