Common examples of when the Wrong Mode error message would occur, include:
A clerk with a stored sales transaction tries to access Refund Mode.
A clerk who is part way though a refund in Refund Mode tries to access Sales Mode.
Resolution:
If the Wrong Mode error message occurs in Sales Mode:
Press the Home button to navigate to the Main Menu.
Press the Refund Mode button.
Sign on as a clerk.
Complete the refund process by cashing off the refund.
If the Wrong Mode error message occurs in Refund Mode:
Press the Home button to navigate to the Main Menu.
Press the Sales Mode button.
Sign on as a clerk.
Complete the sale by cashing off the transaction.
