Integrating legal texts at checkout not only complies with legal and regulatory requirements, but also provides customers with a transparent and reliable booking experience. In this sense, including policies and terms of service in the checkout process not only ensures compliance with the law, but also builds customer confidence by giving them immediate access to information.

To set up your agency's generic legal texts, go to Account > Legal texts:

How to address each of these three sections:

1. Commerce and Contact

In this section, you should provide your customers with detailed information about your travel agency. This includes: company name (be sure to mention the legal name of your travel agency), physical address (provide the address of your main office or place of business, which gives customers a physical location for reference) and contact information (phone number, email address).

In addition, it is important to stress the importance of this content, as it gives customers the peace of mind of knowing who they are doing business with and where they can go in case they need assistance or clarification.

2. Privacy policy

The privacy policy is crucial in the digital age and should explain how customers' personal data is handled. Here are some key elements to include:

  • Data collection: Describe what information is collected from customers during the booking process and why it is needed.

  • Data use: Explains how the data will be used, whether for confirming bookings, sending marketing communications or other purposes.

  • Data security: Details the security measures taken to protect customers' personal information.

  • Customer rights: Informs customers of their rights regarding access, modification and deletion of their personal data.

The inclusion of a privacy policy demonstrates your agency's commitment to the protection of client information.

3. Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions set out the rules and expectations for transactions between the travel agency and customers. Some elements that should be present in this section are: reservations, liability (in case of problems during the trip), claims and refunds (details the procedures for making claims and requesting refunds if necessary).

The terms and conditions provide a solid basis for resolving disputes and disagreements and clarify the expectations of both parties in a transaction.

Once the sections are completed, they will be displayed in the shopping cart of your proposals at the bottom right of the modal:

If the customer clicks on "company policies" they will be able to read them:
