Configure driver availability

Set recurring availability and one-time exceptions for drivers, and understand how Moovs detects conflicts.

Written by Nate

Driver availability helps Moovs identify schedule conflicts when an operator assigns a driver to a trip.

Open driver availability

From the Driver App

  1. Open the Driver App menu.

  2. Select Set Availability.

  3. Select Set Availability again to open the web availability calendar.

From the Operator App

  1. Go to Settings > Drivers.

  2. Open the driver.

  3. Open the top-right menu and select Copy Driver App Link.

  4. Open the copied link and select Availability.

Add schedule time

On the calendar, create either:

  • Available time for the hours the driver normally accepts trips.

  • Unavailable time for a one-time exception inside an available period.

Choose the start and end date and time. Available time can be one-time or repeat on selected days. Unavailable time is a one-time event and cannot be set to repeat.

How Moovs determines availability

  • If a driver has never created any availability settings or events, Moovs treats the driver as available.

  • After a schedule exists, the requested trip time must be fully covered by an available event.

  • An overlapping unavailable event overrides available time.

Moovs can warn about an availability conflict during assignment. Operators can still review the conflict and decide how to proceed.

Edit or delete schedule time

Select an event on the calendar to edit or remove it. Removing an event that belongs to a recurring availability setting removes that setting and its generated repeats.
