When you access any area of the Mortgage MarketSmart system, you'll notice an icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. By clicking on it, you'll see a greeting that says "Hi, how can we help?" If you encounter any issues, you can send us a message by typing your query in the provided area.

Let's try it out by sending a test message that says "I need help." Once sent, our team will respond within a few hours, as we aim for a prompt resolution.

Now, let's explore how the Help Center can assist you further. By clicking on "How can we help," you'll find different sections covering various aspects of Mortgage MarketSmart. These sections include topics like getting started, top lender market share, top loan officer tools, real estate listings, and more. Each section displays the number of articles available for your reference.

For instance, if you select "Lender Market Share and Top Loan Officer Toolset," you'll find four videos dedicated to that topic. These videos act as helpful guides, providing step-by-step instructions and play-by-play demonstrations to assist you.

To minimize the smiley face icon, simply click on the downward arrow beside it.

Additionally, you can access help by clicking on the question mark icon located at the top of the screen when you start a project.

This opens a new tab that provides advice and answers from the Mortgage Market Smart team. The help topics available in this tab are similar to what we've discussed earlier, offering videos related to each topic.

Furthermore, if you're curious about the variables used in Mortgage Market Smart, you can click on "Data Variable and Definitions Set" to explore the different variables and their definitions. This is particularly useful for understanding origination variables, demographic variables, and their descriptions.

Accessing the attribute list is convenient when adding a data set to the map.

You can add layers and forecasts, and the naming conventions for shortcuts are listed in the previous tab. For example, if you want to select all occupancy purchase loans, you can use the shortcut "AOPL." By entering this shortcut, the system will recognize your selection, and you can proceed to choose the desired attributes, such as the year, census tract, and MSAs.

Feel free to explore the help center, search for help in the popup, or contact us.
