Recording Communication Consent

From the Add/Edit Customer Window:

  1. Open the desired customer profile and navigate to the “Communication Consent” tab.

  2. Click on the “Add” button in the toolbar to open the “Add Communication Consent” window.

  3. Specify the Type (Reminders or Marketing) and Method of communication (SMS, Email, or Phone), along with the Method of Consent (Verbal or Written).

  4. Optionally, add any relevant notes and adjust the expiry date if needed.

  5. Click “Save” to record the consent item. Any previous consent with identical criteria will be replaced, and the new item will be logged in the Add/Edit Customer window.

Bookings

  1. Open a booking in your diary.

  2. Click on the tick or cross next to the Phone, Mobile or Email fields (The green tick indicates that you have consent for all scheduled messages of that type, the warning triangle indicates you are missing consent for some messages of that type)

Jobsheets

  1. Open a Jobsheet in your diary.

  2. Click on the tick or cross next to the Phone, Mobile or Email fields in the "Customer" section of the jobsheet

Sales invoices

  1. Open a invoice in your diary, this can be done by going to "Financial>Sales Documents".

  2. Click on the tick or cross next to the Phone, Mobile or Email icons under the "Customer Name and Address" details

Outbound Message Queue or Reminders window

  1. Open the Outbound Message Queue or Reminders by going to “Messaging>Outbound Messages

  2. Select the row you wish to add consent for then click the "Add Consent" button

Revoking Customer Communication Consent

To revoke Communication Consent for a customer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Add/Edit Customer window and navigate to the “Communication Consent” tab. Alternatively, access this window from the Booking Details, Jobsheets, Sales Invoices, Outbound Message Queue, or Reminders windows as explained above and select .

  2. Select the consent row to revoke (only previously unrevoked items can be revoked).

  3. Click on “Revoke” in the toolbar to revoke consent for that item.

Note: Revoked consent items will disappear from the log unless “Show Invalid” is enabled.
