You can now store and manage customer documents using the Attachments tab within customer records and related documents. This allows for easy organization and retrieval of important files across bookings, jobsheets, quotations, and invoices.
Enabling the Attachments Tab
If the Attachments tab is not visible, follow these steps to enable it:
Navigate to Configure Tabs.
Locate the Attachments tab.
Drag it into the Active Tabs column.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Once added you can go to the Attachments tab to begin uploading documents and media.
Uploading Documents and Media
Open the Customer Profile/document.
Go to the Attachments tab.
Click the Upload button.
Select the file(s) from your device.
Click Add More Files to upload additional documents or Upload to confirm the current selection.
Once uploaded, the file will be visible in the Attachments section.
Note: If a file is uploaded to a specific document (e.g., jobsheet), a folder will be created for the vehicle, with subfolders for related documents. If a file is uploaded directly to the customer profile without selecting a folder, it will be stored in the Ungrouped folder.
Organizing Attachments
To change how attachments are displayed, use the Organize by panel by clicking the arrow:
All Media β Displays all files without folders.
Document Reference (default) β Groups files by vehicle and the document they were uploaded to.
Content Type β Sorts files by type, such as Documents and Photos.
Upload Date β Groups files based on the date they were uploaded.
Downloading and Deleting Files
Downloading Files
Currently, files cannot be viewed directly within VGM. However, they can be downloaded for access on your device:
Select the file by clicking on it.
Click the Download button.
To download multiple files:
Hold the Shift key and select multiple files, or
Use the Select All button next to Download to select all visible files.
Deleting Files
To delete files, follow these steps:
