Overview
Use Settings -> General to set your default AI model, default microphone, and organisation compliance settings.
Set your default model
Open Settings.
Go to General.
Under Default Model, choose your preferred AI model.
New sessions will use this model unless you change it in the session.
If you do not choose a model, Motics uses its platform default.
Set your default microphone
Open Settings.
Go to General.
Under Default Microphone, choose the microphone you want to use for new sessions.
If your browser asks for permission, allow Motics to access the microphone.
If your microphone is not listed, check your browser permissions, reconnect the device, and refresh Motics.
Organisation compliance settings
Organisation owners and admins can configure compliance prompts from Settings -> General:
Recording consent reminder - asks clinicians to confirm patient consent before starting a recording.
AI note disclaimer - adds an AI assistance disclaimer to newly generated or regenerated notes.
Summary email disclaimer - adds a disclaimer to session summaries sent by email.
External email consent reminder - asks clinicians to confirm consent before sending a summary by email.
Members may see these settings as read-only. If you cannot edit them, contact an organisation owner or admin.
