Audit Agent Overview

What Audit Agent does, who can access it, and how audits, templates, results, and credits work.

Written by Dr. Harvinder Power

Overview

Audit Agent reviews clinical documentation against selected standards, questions, and scoring criteria. It helps owners and admins identify documentation gaps, pass rates, clinician-level trends, and sessions that need attention.

Audit Agent is feature-gated. If you cannot open it, your organisation may not have Audit Agent enabled yet.

Who can use Audit Agent?

Audit Agent requires:

  • An owner, co-owner, or admin role.

  • A role that can spend credits.

  • Audit Agent feature access for the organisation.

Members and observers may be restricted. This is expected access-control behaviour.

What Audit Agent can audit

When starting an audit, you choose a framework or template, select the sessions to review, and choose which source material to include. Available source options include transcript, AI Summary, and clinician notes.

For AI Summary, the audit can include clinical notes and letters where available.

Frameworks and templates

Audit Agent can use personal templates, organisation templates, and regulatory presets where enabled. Preset framework labels in the code include CQC, GMC, and NHS. You can also use custom templates.

Templates can include questions, criteria, priority, scoring mode, and scoring thresholds. Organisation template creation or editing may require owner/admin permissions.

Results

Audit results can show:

  • Status: queued, running, processing, completed, failed, or cancelled.

  • Notes reviewed.

  • Pass rate and pass threshold.

  • Criteria-level breakdown.

  • Session-level breakdown.

  • Clinician comparison views where the audit includes multiple clinicians.

  • Failed sessions and retry options where available.

  • CSV export for completed results.

Credits

Audit runs are credit-spending actions. If there are insufficient credits, the audit may not start or may need an owner/admin to add credits.

If Audit Agent is temporarily unavailable

If you see a message saying Audit Agent writes are temporarily frozen while a migration completes, retry shortly. If the message persists, contact Motics support with your organisation name and the action you were trying to complete.
