Can I Add a Walk, Run, or Extra Cardio on a Rest Day?

How to log extra cardio like a walk, jog, or bike ride on a rest day using Your Preferred Cardio or a LISS workout.

Yes — here are two easy ways to log extra cardio on a rest day or any day you want to move more.

Option 1: Use "Your Preferred Cardio" from Endurance Moves

The Your Preferred Cardio workout in the Endurance Moves program is designed for exactly this — a flexible session you can use to track a walk, jog, bike ride, or any self-directed cardio.

To make it easy to find anytime, save it to your Favorites:

  1. Go to Programs → Hybrid → Endurance Moves

  2. Tap the Schedule tab

  3. Tap Your Preferred Cardio (there's one on Week 1, Day 2)

  4. Tap the heart icon ♡ to save it to your Favorites

To log the workout:

  1. Go to Profile → Favorite Workouts

  2. Tap (...) next to Your Preferred Cardio → Add to Calendar

  3. Choose your date and confirm

  4. From the Home tab, tap the play button ▶️ on that day to start your workout

Option 2: Favorite a LISS Workout

If you're on Weekly Moves, LISS (Low-Intensity Steady State) cardio workouts are already scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can save one of these to your Favorites and add it to your calendar whenever you want an extra cardio session.

What You Can't Do

Moves doesn't currently support logging fully custom workouts — like a yoga, pilates class, a swim, or a workout you write yourself. All sessions need to be based on existing Moves workouts. This keeps your program structured and your progress trackable. Find out more here.
