Switching from Apple or Google billing to Moves+

Why store subscribers can't upgrade in the app, what Moves Plus costs, how to cancel with Apple or Google, and how we credit the month you've already paid for.

Why you can't upgrade in the app

Moves Plus is billed by us directly — it isn't one of the plans available through Apple or Google, where we only offer the monthly Moves subscription. So moving to Moves Plus means moving your billing over to us, and that takes two steps and a hand from our team.

What a Moves Plus subscription costs

You're paying $20/month for workouts today — $240 over a year.

Moves Plus is workouts and meals together, at standard pricing: $350/year or $35/month.

Because you're switching over from app store billing, we'll also credit you $20 — so your first year on annual billing comes to $330.

So: $330 the first year, then $350 a year after. That's about $27.50/month in year one and $29/month after — roughly $7–9 a month more than you pay now, charged once a year rather than monthly.

Worth knowing now: this charge is once a year, not monthly, if you choose annual billing. If you'd rather pay monthly, Moves Plus Monthly is $35/month — neither price is a locked rate.

What happens to the month you've already paid for

When you cancel with Apple or Google, you'd normally keep access until the end of the month you've already paid for. To move you onto Moves Plus we have to close out that subscription on our side, which ends it early.

That's what the $20 credit is for. Members already on our billing are prorated for unused time. Your Moves Plus subscription starts fresh with us rather than carrying over from the store, so instead of prorating we credit you a full month for the month you're currently in. Whatever's actually left when you switch, you're covered — you can't come out of this behind, and you won't be paying two people for the same month.

The credit sits on your account and comes off your total automatically at checkout when you upgrade to Moves Plus. There's no code to enter and nothing to remember. It's a standing part of switching from app store billing — not a limited-time offer, so it'll still be there whenever you're ready.

Prefer email? You don't have to use the chat. Email us at support@movesapp.com and we'll take it from there — just make sure your message says exactly: I subscribe through Apple / Google and want to upgrade to Moves+!

Step 1 — Cancel Your Subscription

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top

  2. Tap Subscriptions

  3. Tap Moves

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription (you may need to scroll down)

If there's no Cancel button, or you see an expiry date in red, it's already cancelled — you're done with this step.

On Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions

  3. Tap Subscriptions, then Moves

  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts

Step 2 — Tell the Moves Team you Cancelled

🚨 This step is SUPER important! Head back to the chat in the app and tap "Yes, I cancelled my Apple / Google subscription". That's the bit people skip, and it's the bit we need: we can't see your cancellation instantly, and we won't touch your account until you've told us you're ready.

Don't see that button? Some chats don't have one, and if your chat closed itself it will have gone. Either way, just reply here with the word CANCELLED and we'll pick it up exactly the same way. Emailing us instead? Same thing — reply CANCELLED.

Do this as soon as you've cancelled. Nothing moves on our side until you send it, and your price is set the day we complete the switch — not the day you write in.

Step 3 — The Moves Team Handles the Switch

Someone on our team closes out your old subscription, applies your credit, and sends you a checkout link — all in one email message. It's often much quicker, but please allow up to one business day. If you write in outside working hours we'll tell you when to expect it.

It's worth timing this around your next workout, because there's a short window between us closing out the old plan and you checking out where you will temporarily lose access to your workouts.

Step 4 — Purchase Moves Plus on our Website

Open the link our team sends you and it will take you directly to check out. Your $20 credit comes off the total automatically, and workouts and meals are both live again straight away.

Questions we get

Can I keep paying through Apple and just add meals?
Not at the moment — meals are only part of Moves Plus, and Moves Plus is billed by us.

Is there a monthly Moves Plus?
Yes. As of October 16, 2026, Moves Plus Monthly is available at $35/month, alongside standard annual billing at $350/year — neither price is a locked rate. (Through October 15, 2026, Moves Plus was annual-only, at the $300/year Founding Rate.)

Can I still get the $300 founding rate?
No — the founding rate closed on October 15, 2026 and isn't available to new subscribers. Moves Plus is still available at standard pricing — $350/year or $35/month — just without the lock. If you already have the founding rate, it stays yours: year two is $300, and so is every year after, for as long as you stay subscribed. You'd lose it by cancelling Moves Plus or by downgrading to the Moves Base membership; pausing is safe. So if you're ever unsure about renewing, talk to us first rather than cancelling.

Can I keep workouts on their own, but pay you instead of Apple?
Yes — $20/month, or $200/year if you'd rather pay annually. Just ask and we'll help!

I cancelled and changed my mind.
Tell us before you check out and we'll get you back onto workouts. If you'd already been switched across you'll need to resubscribe, but we can do that on our own billing so you're not back in the same corner later.
