At Moves App, we’re committed to providing a smooth, seamless experience for everyone. If something isn’t working as it should, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue and, if needed, report it to our team.
Some issues may also stem from external factors like service outages or high traffic periods, which are beyond the app's control.
Common Causes of App Issues
External Infrastructure Outages
The Moves App relies on external services like Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to function. Outages in these services can temporarily disrupt app performance, causing issues like videos not playing, login failures, or the app not loading at all. These outages are beyond the app's control and typically resolve once the affected services are restored.
High Traffic Periods
During events or challenges with many users accessing the app simultaneously, temporary performance issues may occur. These issues usually resolve once traffic stabilizes.
Outdated App Version
Using an outdated version of the Moves App can lead to performance issues, including video previews not loading or other unexpected behavior.
Troubleshooting Steps
Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet or cellular connection. Weak connectivity can prevent the app from loading or videos from playing.
Update the App: Go to your device’s app store and update the Moves App to the latest version. This can resolve many performance issues.
Restart the App: Close the app completely and reopen it to refresh its connection to the server.
Check for OS Updates: Make sure your device is running the latest operating system. If an update is available, install it.
Restart Your Device: After updating, restart your device by turning it off and back on.
Uninstall the Moves App: Remove the app from your device. Don’t worry—this won’t affect your account. You’ll still be able to log in after reinstalling.
Reinstall the Moves App: Download the latest version from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Wait for External Issues to Resolve: If the issue is caused by an external outage (e.g., Cloudflare or AWS), it will resolve automatically once the affected services are restored. You can monitor the status of these services online.
Reduce App Traffic: If the app is slow during high-traffic periods, try accessing it at a different time when fewer users may be online.
