Canceling your subscription is quick and can be done directly in the app.
⚠️ Emailing / messaging our team does not cancel your account. You must cancel in the Moves App directly by following the steps below (or through Apple/Google if that's how you subscribed). If you're having trouble, reach out and we'll help — but sending an email alone won't process the cancellation.
Step 1: Check where you subscribed
Open the Moves App
Go to Profile → Manage Subscription
Look under the blue button:
"Made via website" → cancel in Moves
"Made via app store" → cancel via Apple/Google
If You Subscribed Through Moves (Website)
Go to Profile → Manage Subscription
Tap Manage Subscription again
Log into your account
Select Moves Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
If You Subscribed Through Apple or Google
Apple (iOS)
Open Settings
Tap your name → Subscriptions
Select Moves → Cancel Subscription
If the subscription does not appear under your Apple ID, verify that you are logged in with the correct account. Contact Apple Support if the issue persists.
Google Play (Android)
Open Google Play Store
Tap profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Select Moves → Cancel Subscription
If the subscription does not appear under your Google account, ensure you are logged in with the correct account. Contact Google Support if the issue persists.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your account will show Pending Cancellation
You'll keep full access until your next billing date
You will not be charged again
After your billing date, your subscription will end and access will close
Before You Cancel
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
You must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date
We're not able to offer refunds for:
Unused time
Missed cancellations
Change of mind
Accidental purchases
If your subscription is paused, you must resume it before canceling. Go to Profile → Manage Subscription, tap Resume Now, and then select Cancel to complete the process.
✅ Resuming a paused subscription won't charge you — as long as you cancel right away. The resume step just unlocks the Cancel button; it doesn't restart billing.
Pause Instead of Canceling
Need a break? You can pause your subscription for 1, 2, or 3 months instead.
You'll find this option in the same place as cancellation under your subscription settings. Learn more here.
Please note, pause is only available for subscriptions purchased directly through Moves (movesapp.com). If your subscription is managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you'll need to cancel it there and resubscribe when you're ready to return
FAQs
What happens to my programs or challenges?
If you cancel your subscription, you will lose full access to subscription-based content, including Move Together / Tighter Together challenges. Previously purchased challenges remain accessible under Programs → Challenges, but they may be available in a limited capacity, such as "View Only Mode."
In this mode, you can access all resources and workouts within the challenge, but you cannot add workouts to your calendar. For example, challenges like "Move Together" remain accessible for up to six months from the start date, even without an active subscription. One-time purchases or completed challenges tied to your account will remain visible, but interactive features (like logging workouts) are unavailable until you resubscribe.
What's the difference between deleting my account and canceling my subscription?
Canceling your subscription: Stops future charges but keeps your account and all historical data. You can return later and pick up where you left off.
Deleting your account: Permanently removes your account and all data, including workout history, subscriptions, and one-time purchases. This action cannot be undone, and it does not automatically cancel billing — you must cancel your subscription separately.
If I cancel and want to come back later, how do I do that?
Of course! We'd love to workout with you again when the time is right for you. Simply resubscribe using the same email address. Your account and workout history will still be there, so you can pick up right where you left off.
To reactivate, visit movesapp.com, log in with your email address, and follow the instructions under the subscription settings to resume your plan. Reactivating your subscription may also unlock additional functionalities for previously purchased challenges.
Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?
Yes! You can now pause your subscription instead of canceling if you just need a break. The pause option is available in the same Account Manager area under your subscription settings, where you can choose a pause duration of 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months.
I was charged twice, or charged but I have no active subscription — what should I do?
This usually happens when there are overlapping subscriptions (Apple/Google and Moves), a second account under a different email, or a delayed payment. Here's how to spot the cause and get it fixed: Charged but I Have No Active Subscription (or Charged Twice)?
