Our app uses Apple Health to track your activity and workouts. If data in the app looks different from the one in Apple Health, check the following settings to make sure your data is syncing correctly.
Step 1: Check Apple Health permissions
Open the Apple Health app â go to the Sharing tab â tap Apps â select Fasting.
Make sure all toggles are turned on. The app needs permission to both read and write data:
Step 2: Check your Workout settings
Open Apple Health â go to the Browse tab â tap Activity â tap Workouts â scroll down to Data Sources & Access.
Make sure the permission is also enabled:
Step 3: Check your Apple Watch connection
If you use an Apple Watch, go to the Summary tab â tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner â scroll down to Devices.
Make sure your Apple Watch is listed and connected.
Step 4: Check other data sources
If a third party app is listed as a higher priority data source, Apple Health may use its workout data instead of data from your iPhone or Apple Watch, which can affect the activity data shown in the app.
Go to Apple Health â Workouts â Data Sources & Access and check the priority of listed sources. If another app is above your iPhone or Apple Watch, try adjusting the order or temporarily disabling that source to see if it resolves the discrepancy.
Step 5: Refresh the app
Once you've checked these settings, close the Fasting app completely from the system tray and reopen it.
Your activity data should sync shortly. If the discrepancy remains, check Data Sources & Access again to make sure Apple Health is receiving the correct step data from your preferred source.
