My steps data isn't syncing correctly

Fixing steps synchronization issue

Updated over a week ago

Our app uses Apple Health integration to track your steps. If your steps aren't syncing or there's a discrepancy in your steps count, please make sure that Apple Health sync is enabled correctly. Here's how:

  1. Open the Apple Health app > go to the "Sharing" tab > tap "Apps" > tap "Walking" > switch all toggles on the page on:

2. Tap "Summary" tab > tap "Steps" > scroll down to "Data Sources & Access" > make sure the toggle is also switched on:

3. If you have Apple Watch: Go back to "Summary" tab > tap your "User profile" in the upper-right corner > scroll down to "Devices" > make sure your Apple Watch is connected.

4. Once done, close the Walking app completely from the system tray and reopen it. Your data should sync shortly.

Also, please make sure that you enabled the activity tracking toggle in your device settings:

  1. Go to Settings > scroll down and tap "Apps".

  2. Find Walking app in the list.

  3. Switch "Motion & Fitness" toggle on:

✍️ Note: when your phone is not with you, it cannot track your steps accurately. If you are frequently away from your phone during activities, such as at work, using a dedicated pedometer or a wearable device like a smartwatch will provide much more accurate results.
