Mac OS DYMO Printer Setup for SKU & FNSKU Labels

This guide will walk you through the recommended setup for DYMO printers on Mac OS to ensure your SKU and FNSKU labels print correctly in AccelerList.

Follow these steps to properly configure your DYMO printer and ensure your labels print clearly and align correctly in AccelerList.

1. Download and Install QZ Tray, then Open Printer Settings in AccelerList

First, make sure you download and install QZ Tray.

Then navigate to:
Settings → Printer → SKU + FNSKU Labels


2. Configure Your Printer Settings

Make sure your settings match the recommended configuration below:

  • Active Printer: Select Dymo

  • Printer Driver Config: Choose Dymo LW 450 series 300x600 dpi (Best, default value)

  • Orientation: Set to Landscape

  • Label Type: Select your label (e.g., 30334 | 1.125 x 2.25)

✅ Click Save Changes after updating your settings


3. Confirm Label Size Matches Your Physical Labels

Ensure that the label selected in AccelerList matches the labels loaded in your DYMO printer.

Supported examples:

  • 30334 — 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"

  • 30336 — 1" x 2-1/8"

  • 30252 — 1-1/8" x 3-1/2"

Using the wrong label size may cause alignment or sizing issues.


4. Configure Printer Settings via CUPS (Mac)

If label sizes are missing or not aligning correctly, use CUPS:

If it doesn’t load:

  • Open Terminal

  • Run:
    sudo cupsctl WebInterface=yes

Then:

  • Click Printers

  • Select your DYMO printer

  • Click Administration → Set Default Options

Set:

  • Media Size / Paper Size: Match your label

  • Resolution: 300 x 600 dpi

  • Orientation: Landscape

Save the settings.


5. Configure Labels in DYMO Connect App

If labels are still misaligned, adjust them in DYMO software:

For DYMO Printers (Using DYMO Connect App)

Step 1: Open DYMO Connect
Launch the app on your Mac

Step 2: Choose a Blank Label Layout
Select a blank label template

Step 3: Open Label Properties

  • Right-click the label, or

  • Open the Properties panel

Step 4: Set the Label Dimensions
Enter the correct width and height

Step 5: Adjust Margins for Label Elements

  • Double-click text or barcode

  • Open Properties / Advanced

  • Adjust margins

Step 6: Adjust Entire Label Margins

  • Go to Page Setup / Layout

  • Update margins

Step 7: Save and Test Print
Save settings and print a test label


6. Print a Test Label in AccelerList

  • Go back to AccelerList

  • Click Print Test Label

  • Confirm proper alignment and clarity


Quick Reminder ✅

For best results:

  • Use DYMO printer (LW 450 or similar)

  • Set resolution to 300 x 600 dpi

  • Match label size exactly

  • Keep orientation set to Landscape

  • Ensure CUPS and DYMO settings match AccelerList
