Off-Brand Thermal Printer Setup on Windows (SKU + FNSKU Labels | AccelerList Guide)

This guide will walk you through how to set up an off-brand thermal printer in AccelerList using Windows for SKU + FNSKU label printing.

Updated this week

Since AccelerList does not directly support all printer brands, this setup provides a workaround so your printer can function properly using QZ Tray.

1. Install and Run QZ Tray (Required)

Before anything else, make sure QZ Tray is installed and running.

QZ Tray is required for AccelerList to communicate with your printer.

  • Download and install QZ Tray. Click the button below to guide you about QZ Tray

  • Open QZ Tray

  • Confirm it is running in the system tray (near the clock)

πŸ‘‰ If QZ Tray is not running, printing will not work

2. Confirm Your Printer Works in Windows

Before connecting to AccelerList:

  • Go to Control Panel β†’ Devices and Printers

  • Right-click your printer β†’ Printer Properties

  • Click Print Test Page

βœ… Only continue if the printer works properly in Windows

3. Rename Printer to β€œDymo” (Important Workaround)

Since off-brand printers are not natively supported:

  • Go to Devices and Printers

  • Right-click your printer β†’ Printer Properties

  • Rename it to: Dymo

  • Click Apply

  • Right-click again β†’ Set as Default Printer

This allows AccelerList to recognize your printer correctly

4. Set the Correct Label Size in Printer Preferences

  • Open Printing Preferences

  • Select the correct label size

βœ… Supported Label Sizes (SKU + FNSKU Labels Only):

  • 30336

  • 30252

  • 30334

  • Or any label that matches these dimensions

⚠️ Using unsupported sizes may cause:

  • Misaligned labels

  • Incorrect scaling

  • Printing errors

5. Allow AccelerList in QZ Tray

  • Open QZ Tray from the system tray

  • Click Site Manager

  • Make sure AccelerList is Allowed / Trusted

This ensures your browser can send print commands

6. Configure Printer in AccelerList

Go to:
Settings β†’ Printer β†’ SKU + FNSKU Labels

Set the following:

  • Active Printer: Dymo (renamed printer)

  • Label Type: Match your label (30336, 30252, or 30334)

  • Orientation: Adjust based on your label

βœ… Click Save Changes

7. Run a Test Print

  • Click Print Test Label in AccelerList

  • Check:

    • Alignment

    • Size

    • Clarity

8. Restart If Needed

If printing does not work:

  • Restart your printer

  • Restart your computer

  • Reopen QZ Tray

  • Refresh AccelerList

Quick Reminder βœ…

For best results:

  • This setup is for SKU + FNSKU labels only

  • Install and run QZ Tray

  • Rename printer to Dymo

  • Use supported label sizes (30336, 30252, 30334)

  • Ensure printer works in Windows first

  • Allow AccelerList in QZ Tray

  • Match printer settings with AccelerList

If everything is set correctly, your off-brand printer should now work smoothly for SKU + FNSKU label printing in AccelerList πŸ‘
