Off-Brand Thermal Printer Setup on Windows (MF Ticketing Labels | AccelerList Guide)

This guide will walk you through how to set up an off-brand thermal printer on Windows for printing MF Location (Ticketing) labels in AccelerList.

Updated yesterday

Since AccelerList does not directly support all printer brands, this setup includes a simple workaround (renaming your printer to Dymo) so it can be recognized and used properly.

1. Install and Run QZ Tray (Required)

Before setting up your printer, make sure QZ Tray is installed and running.

QZ Tray allows AccelerList to communicate with your printer.

  • Download and install QZ Tray. Kindly check the icon below to guide you about QZ Tray

  • Open QZ Tray

  • Make sure it is running in your system tray (near the clock)

👉 If QZ Tray is not running, printing will not work

2. Confirm Your Printer Works in Windows

Before connecting to AccelerList:

  • Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers

  • Right-click your printer → Printer Properties

  • Click Print Test Page

✅ Only proceed if the printer works correctly

3. Rename Printer to “Dymo” (Required Workaround)

To allow AccelerList to detect your off-brand printer:

  • Go to Devices and Printers

  • Right-click your printer → Printer Properties

  • Rename it to: Dymo

  • Click Apply

  • Right-click again → Set as Default Printer

👉 This step is required for off-brand printers to work with AccelerList

4. Configure Label Size in Printer Preferences

Open Printing Preferences and set the correct label type.

✅ Supported Label (MF Ticketing):

  • Dymo 30270 (Continuous label)

  • Or any label size that matches this format

⚠️ Important:

  • Make sure “Continuous Wide” is enabled in your printer settings

Using incorrect settings may cause:

  • Continuous feed issues

  • Misaligned prints

  • Labels not stopping correctly

5. Allow AccelerList in QZ Tray

  • Open QZ Tray from the system tray

  • Click Site Manager

  • Make sure AccelerList is set to Allowed / Trusted

6. Configure Printer in AccelerList

Go to:
Settings → Printer → MF Ticketing

Set:

  • Active Printer: Dymo (the renamed printer)

  • Label Type: Dymo 30270 (Continuous)

  • Orientation: Adjust if needed

✅ Click Save Changes

7. Run a Test Print

  • Click Print Test Label in AccelerList

  • Check:

    • Label spacing

    • Alignment

    • Proper stopping/cutting

8. Restart If Needed

If printing does not work:

  • Restart your printer

  • Restart your computer

  • Reopen QZ Tray

  • Refresh AccelerList

Quick Reminder ✅

For best results:

  • QZ Tray must be running

  • Rename your printer to Dymo

  • Select Dymo as the active printer in AccelerList

  • Use Dymo 30270 continuous labels (or matching size)

  • Enable Continuous Wide in printer settings
