How Does Cross-Listing to eBay Work in AccelerList?

Learn how AccelerList cross-listing works, how Amazon inventory is linked to eBay listings, and

Cross-listing allows you to take an item that already exists in your Amazon inventory and create a corresponding listing on eBay without manually entering all of the product information again.

This helps sellers expand their reach across multiple marketplaces while managing inventory from a single platform.

🔄 How Cross-Listing Works

  1. Connect your Amazon US and eBay US accounts to AccelerList.

  2. List or import your inventory into AccelerList.

  3. Select an eligible item from your inventory.

  4. Click the Cross List to eBay option.

  5. Review and customize the eBay listing details.

  6. Publish the listing to eBay.

Once published, AccelerList creates the eBay listing using information from your Amazon inventory record.

📦 Inventory Synchronization

After an item is cross-listed through AccelerList, the Amazon and eBay listings become linked.

This allows AccelerList to:

  • Sync quantity changes

  • Update inventory availability

  • Help prevent overselling across marketplaces

For example:

  • Amazon quantity = 1

  • Item sells on Amazon

  • AccelerList updates the linked eBay listing quantity to 0 or ends the listing

⚠️ Important Requirements

Inventory synchronization only works for listings that were:

  • Cross-listed through AccelerList

  • Created through AccelerList's eBay workflow

Listings created directly on eBay are not linked to AccelerList inventory and will not participate in quantity syncing or inventory mirroring.

🚫 What Cross-Listing Does Not Do

Cross-listing does not automatically import existing eBay listings into AccelerList.

If an item was created directly on eBay before using AccelerList:

  • It will not appear in AccelerList Inventory

  • It will not sync with Amazon inventory

  • It will not be linked for multichannel management

💡 Best Practice

For the best multichannel experience:

  • List inventory in Amazon first.

  • Cross-list to eBay through AccelerList.

  • Allow AccelerList to manage inventory synchronization between both marketplaces.

This ensures inventory quantities remain accurate and helps reduce the risk of overselling.

✅ Summary

Cross-listing in AccelerList creates an eBay listing from an existing Amazon inventory item and links the two listings together. This enables inventory synchronization and multichannel management, but only for listings created or cross-listed through AccelerList.
