Why Doesn’t My eBay Quantity Match My Amazon Quantity?

Learn why the quantity of a cross-listed item may differ between Amazon and eBay and what to check when your inventory quantities don't match.

How Does Cross-Listed Inventory Work?

When inventory is cross-listed through AccelerList, the system uses your Amazon inventory information to help keep the corresponding eBay listing quantity synchronized.

As inventory changes on Amazon, AccelerList processes those changes and updates the associated eBay listing.

Why Might the Quantities Be Different?

A quantity difference can occur for several reasons:

  • A recent Amazon inventory change hasn't synced yet.

  • A sale recently occurred on Amazon or eBay.

  • Amazon is still processing an inventory adjustment.

  • The eBay account connection has expired or become disconnected.

  • The eBay listing is no longer correctly associated with the Amazon inventory.

  • The quantity originally entered for the Amazon SKU was incorrect.

  • A temporary marketplace API or synchronization issue occurred.

Check Amazon First

Locate the affected SKU in Amazon Seller Central and confirm the available quantity.

Because AccelerList receives the Amazon inventory information used for synchronization, it's important to determine whether Amazon itself is showing the expected quantity.

Then compare that quantity with the corresponding eBay listing.

What Should I Do?

Allow recent sales or inventory changes time to synchronize. If the quantities continue to differ, verify that both your Amazon and eBay connections are active.

If the issue continues, contact AccelerList Support and provide the ASIN, Amazon SKU, eBay Item ID, Amazon quantity, and eBay quantity.

Keeping quantities accurate is important because incorrect quantities can lead to overselling; eBay similarly recommends keeping listing quantities current to avoid orders that cannot be fulfilled. eBay
