How to Review Items Added Through Rapid Scanning

Learn how to review products added through Rapid Scanning and verify important listing information before completing your batch.

Why Review Your Items?

Rapid Scanning helps you process inventory faster, but you should still review your batch before completing your listing workflow.

This gives you an opportunity to catch incorrect products, quantities, conditions, pricing, or other information before moving forward.

What Should You Check?

After adding your items, review the batch and verify:

  • Product – Make sure the correct Amazon catalog product was selected.

  • Condition – Confirm the condition matches the physical item.

  • Quantity – Check that the correct number of units was added.

  • Price – Verify that the listing price is appropriate.

  • Fulfillment method – Make sure the item is being listed using the intended fulfillment method.

  • SKU/FNSKU information – Review the available identifiers when applicable.

  • Supplier or Scout – Confirm sourcing information when you're using these fields.

Watch for Incorrect Catalog Matches

If an ISBN or UPC returns an unexpected product, don't continue processing that item until you've confirmed the correct Amazon catalog listing.

If an item initially shows that it cannot be found in the Amazon catalog, try the lookup again. If the same item repeatedly fails or only appears after several attempts, the issue may require further investigation.

Before Completing the Batch

Give the entire batch a final review before moving to the next stage of your workflow.

Rapid Scanning is intended to save time during listing, while this final review helps ensure that the speed of the workflow doesn't come at the expense of listing accuracy.
