Prepare Before You Start
Before beginning a Rapid Scanning session, make sure your batch settings are configured correctly. Review your condition, pricing, fulfillment method, supplier or scout, and other listing preferences.
Having everything configured beforehand reduces the need to stop and make changes while scanning.
Organize Your Inventory
Arrange your products so they are easy to pick up and scan one after another. For books and media, make sure the ISBN, UPC, or barcode is accessible before starting.
Separating items by condition or type can also make the workflow easier.
Keep Your Scanner Ready
Make sure your barcode scanner is connected and working correctly. Test it with one item before processing a large amount of inventory.
Use a Consistent Workflow
For each item:
Scan the barcode, ISBN, or UPC.
Allow AccelerList to locate the product.
Quickly verify that the correct product appears.
Confirm any necessary listing information.
Add the item and continue to the next product.
Verify Products as You Go
Rapid Scanning is designed for speed, but accuracy is still important. Checking the title, product image, ASIN, or other identifying information can prevent incorrect catalog matches.
Test Your Setup First
Before processing a large batch, scan one or two items to confirm that your scanner, printer, batch settings, and listing workflow are working as expected.
