Why Is My eBay Item Still Available After It Sold on Amazon?

Learn why an eBay listing may remain available after the corresponding Amazon inventory sells and how to determine whether the item is truly still purchasable.

First, Check the eBay Quantity

If an item sold on Amazon but you still see its eBay listing, check the quantity displayed on eBay.

The listing may still exist even though its available quantity has been reduced to zero.

When eBay's Out-of-Stock option is enabled, a Good 'Til Canceled listing with zero quantity can remain active but is normally hidden from search results until inventory becomes available again. eBay Developers

What If the Item Still Has Available Quantity?

If eBay still shows inventory available for purchase after the Amazon inventory has sold out, the inventory update may not have completed successfully.

Possible causes include:

  • The Amazon sale or quantity change hasn't synced yet.

  • The eBay account is disconnected or needs reauthorization.

  • The Amazon quantity hasn't updated as expected.

  • The item is no longer correctly associated with its cross-listed eBay listing.

  • A temporary API or synchronization issue occurred.

Check Both Marketplaces

Verify:

Amazon

  • SKU

  • Current quantity

  • Listing status

eBay

  • Item ID

  • Current available quantity

  • Listing status

If Amazon shows zero but eBay continues to show purchasable inventory after allowing time for synchronization, contact AccelerList Support with the ASIN, SKU, eBay Item ID, and Amazon sale date/time.
