My Easy Monogram (MEM) makes it simple to connect your stores so custom products are automatically produced and shipped on demand.

MEM supports two main integration options:

  • Option 1: Shopify → MEM (with optional Shopify → Etsy)

  • Option 2: Direct MEM → Etsy Integration

Integration Options at a Glance

MEM supports two main integration paths:

  1. Shopify → MEM (with optional Etsy → Shopify)

    • Centralizes all orders in Shopify.

    • Etsy can also be connected through Shopify using an integration app.

  2. Direct Etsy → MEM

    • Best for Etsy-only sellers.

    • Connect Etsy directly to MEM if you don’t use Shopify.

⚠️ Important: Each Shopify or Etsy integration functions as a separate MEM account. Whichever integration you’re toggled into determines where all of your actions apply — including creating products, syncing updates, managing orders, adjusting pricing, and publishing changes.

Option 1: Shopify → MEM

Steps:

  1. Create & Verify Your MEM Account

    • Sign up at MEM Login.

    • Verify your account by clicking the activation link emailed to you.

  2. Connect Your Shopify Store to MEM

    • In your MEM dashboard, click the account button (top-right).

    • Select Manage StoresConnect Store → choose Shopify.

    • Follow the prompts to connect.

  3. Import MEM Products into Shopify

    • Use the MEM Design Studio to create your products.

    • Import them into Shopify with variants, descriptions, and mockups.

  4. (Optional) Connect Etsy to Shopify

    • Use an integration app such as CedCommerce, Shuttle, or Marketplace Connect.

    • These apps sync Etsy orders to Shopify, and from there into MEM.

    • ⚠️ Important: Etsy personalization does not sync into MEM. Sellers must log into MEM and manually update personalization before releasing orders.

    • 👉 For direct Etsy Integration, see Option 2 below.

  5. Manage Orders

    • Orders can be managed in both Shopify and MEM.

    • Shopify handles order flow, while MEM provides additional controls such as updating production files, placing holds, and managing remakes.

Option 2: Direct Etsy → MEM Integration

Steps:

  1. Create & Verify Your MEM Account

    • Sign up at MEM Login.

    • Verify your account by clicking the activation link emailed to you.

  2. Connect Your Etsy Store

    • In your MEM dashboard, click the account button (top-right).

    • Select Manage StoresConnect Store → choose Etsy.

    • Follow the prompts to authorize your Etsy account.

  3. Personalization on Etsy

    • Etsy does not support MEM’s live preview functionality.

    • Personalization fields from Etsy orders do not sync into MEM.

    • Orders requiring personalization will appear in Error Status and be placed on hold until personalization is updated in MEM.

    ⚠️ Important:

    • Orders requiring personalization will appear in Error Status until you update them in MEM.

    • For non-personalized products where you still want to update production files manually, toggle Product Hold when creating the product in the Design Studio.

  4. Manage Orders

    • All Etsy orders sync directly into MEM for production and shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

11. Do I need CedCommerce (or another app) to connect Etsy?

  • Shopify → Etsy → MEM: ✅ Yes, an integration app is required.

  • Direct Etsy → MEM: ❌ No app required.

2. Can customers see live previews on Etsy?
No. Live preview is only supported on Shopify stores.

3. Do Etsy personalization fields flow into MEM?
No. Personalization submitted with Etsy orders does not sync into MEM. Sellers must manually update the order in MEM before it can move into production.

4. Where can I update personalization for Etsy orders?
Log into MEM → Orders → select the order → update personalization or upload a production file. See → Managing Orders.

5. Do I need to switch accounts when managing Shopify and Etsy?
Yes. Each integration is treated as its own MEM account. Be sure you’re toggled into the correct account before creating products, syncing updates, or managing orders.

Pro Tip: Integration apps (CedCommerce, Shuttle, Marketplace Connect) make automation, syncing, and order management much easier if you sell on both Shopify and Etsy. However, Etsy can also be connected directly to MEM without Shopify if that’s a better fit for your business.
