If you want to switch out an exercise, MyFitCoach will only suggest alternative exercises that target the same primary mover and generally have a very similar muscle engagement. This ensures that you won’t unintentionally skew your training volume for individual muscles, which could potentially sabotage your progress.
So, you won't be at a disadvantage if you replace out a few exercises.
However, if you change the tab from 'Alternative Exercises' to 'All Exercises' while switching out a particular exercise, you might deviate from your volume and the muscle group you initially aimed to target. Therefore, always make sure to primarily switch for alternatives.
