Activating Strength Focus in the MyFitCoach app allows you to adjust your training more towards strength development without compromising muscle building.
To adjust the Strength Focus, go to the “Training Tab” > “Training” button at the top > “Strength Focus” within the app. You can activate Strength Focus both during the onboarding process and in your training profile.
If you wish to give more emphasis to strength in your workouts, turn this option on. Your training plan will then include more exercises in the 5-8 repetition range. This won’t have any negative impact on your muscle building, as you can build muscle with 5-8, 8-12, or even 12-20 repetitions, as long as the training intensity is sufficiently high.
Even without activating the Strength Focus, you will receive exercises in the lower repetition range. The Strength Focus is there to give more weight to your personal preferences. Use this feature to tailor your training plan to your individual needs.
