When it comes to choosing the right training split for you, there are several points you should consider. Splits are a means to an end, helping manage key parameters of training planning, namely Volume, Frequency, and Intensity (VFI). Although standard splits sometimes work, they're often suboptimal when considering all aspects of a training plan simultaneously.

Therefore, we've included the following splits in our holistic training approach, based on scientific evidence and practicality.

Available Splits

For 1 & 2 selected training days:

Full Body

For 3 selected training days:

Push / Pull / Full Body
Upper Body / Lower Body / Full Body

For 4 selected training days:

Push / Pull / Push / Pull
Upper Body / Lower Body / Upper Body / Lower Body

For 5 selected training days:

Push / Pull / Push / Pull / Full Body
Hybrid (Push / Pull / Legs / Upper Body / Lower Body)
Upper Body / Lower Body / Upper Body / Lower Body / Full Body

For 6 selected training days:

Push / Pull / Legs / Push / Pull / Legs
Push / Pull / Push / Pull / Push / Pull
Upper Body / Lower Body / Upper Body / Lower Body / Upper Body / Lower Body

I can't find a specific split

Please note that the respective split will only be displayed if you have set the corresponding training days according to the split in your training profile. For instance, if you want to choose a Push / Pull / Legs split, you should have already set 6 days in your training profile.

The split you should choose depends on what you enjoy the most. If you want to maximize all training parameters, choose the holistic plan. However, if you enjoy a particular split more and are willing to accept a minor disadvantage in training planning, choose a split that appeals to you.

We want to hear from you! If you'd like to suggest additional splits we should incorporate, please let us know. We appreciate your feedback and are working hard to make MyFitCoach even better in this respect.
