If you've ever submitted multiple claims at once and noticed that some are approved while others remain pending, you might wonder why. This can happen for a few reasons, and understanding the process can help clarify any concerns.

When you submit claims, they are sorted into different queues, which are then handled by various adjudicators. Since claims may vary in complexity and priority, it’s possible for one claim to be assessed and approved more quickly than another.

What to Expect

Here’s what typically happens when you submit multiple claims:

  • Processing Time: All claims are usually assessed within 1–3 business days of submission.

  • Pending Claims: If a claim remains pending, it may be waiting in its assigned queue for an adjudicator to review.

  • Requests for Information: If the adjudicator requires additional details to process your claim, they will notify you promptly.

The main reason claims are assessed at different times is due to the way the system divides claims into multiple queues. Each queue is managed by a separate adjudicator at any given time, who processes them in the order they are received. Additionally, some claims may require further scrutiny or additional verification, which can extend the processing time.

What Should You Do?

If one of your claims is still pending and you’re concerned, there’s no need to worry. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Check Your Account: Log in to your account dashboard to view the status of your claims.

  2. Wait for Communication: If more information is needed, the adjudicator will notify you via your account or email.

  3. Contact Support: If a claim has been pending beyond the typical 1–3 day timeframe, reach out to our team for assistance at adjudicator@getmyhsa.com

Understanding how the claims process works can help ease any worries and give you confidence that your claims will be assessed as quickly as possible!
