How to capture label images for your Packing Lists

Learn how to enable label image capture to design packing lists that include outbound and return shipping labels.

Updated this week

By enabling the Capture Label Images feature, your system will automatically save a digital copy of every shipping and return label generated. This allows you to pull those images directly into your custom packing list designs for a more streamlined "all-in-one" document for your warehouse team.

How to enable label image capture

  1. Navigate to Client Data Setup.

  2. Locate the toggle labeled "Capture Label Images for Packing List."

  3. Switch the toggle to ON.

  4. Once enabled, the system will begin storing images for all newly generated labels.

Requirements & Format

Currently, this feature has specific technical requirements:

  • PDF Format Only: To capture the image, your carrier setup must be configured to generate labels in PDF format.

โš ๏ธ Important: What you should know

  • Impact on Performance: Enabling this feature adds an extra processing step (storing the image) during the shipping process. You may notice a slight increase in label generation lead time.

  • Supported Labels: This feature captures both outbound shipping labels and return labels, making it easier to provide return documentation inside your packages.
